I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
